Another life lost in our “Women’s Lives Cut Short” series.
For every year the person has lived I try to draw their picture for an equivalent minute. But I prioritise the art of ensuring they still look like them, with their soul and their essence present. However, the picture will always be incomplete, as they did not live their whole lives out as they should have.​​​
Danielle was 24 when her life was cut short.

Danielle was murdered by her then boyfriend whom stabbed her in excess of 15 times.​
Danielle's family described her as a loving and caring mother, sister, daughter and auntie with a heart of gold.

This drawing is far from completion, it shouldn't be this way. Her life shouldn't have stopped at only 30 years due to an abuser.
