Another two lives lost in our “Women’s Lives Cut Short” series.

 

For every year the person has lived I try to draw their picture for an equivalent minute. But I prioritise the art of ensuring they still look like them, with their soul and their essence present. However, the picture will always be incomplete, as they did not live their whole lives out as they should have.​​​

 

Giselle was 37 when her life was cut short. 

Allison was 15 when her life was cut short.

Giselle was strangled to death by her partner. Her then partner then raped and strangled 15 year old Allison to death. Before committing a final act of control and killing himself. Giselle's sister had said that Giselle wanted to end the relationship due to being controlled.

Both Giselle and Allison should still be here today.
