Another life lost in the “Women’s Lives Cut Short” series.

 

For every year the person has lived I try to draw their picture for an equivalent minute. But I prioritise the art of ensuring they still look like them, with their soul and their essence present. However, the picture will always be incomplete, as they did not live their whole lives out as they should have.​​​

 

Jay was 27 when her life was cut short.

 

She was deliberately killed in a house fire started by her ex partner. Described as a vibrant, funny and loving daughter and sister.

​

 

This drawing is far from completion, it shouldn't be this way. Her life shouldn't have stopped at only 27 years due to an abuser.
