Another life lost in our “Women’s Lives Cut Short” series.
For every year the person has lived I try to draw their picture for an equivalent minute. But I prioritise the art of ensuring they still look like them, with their soul and their essence present. However, the picture will always be incomplete, as they did not live their whole lives out as they should have.
Joanne was 48 when her life was cut short.

Joanne was murdered by her then husband, whom strangled her to death. He did this after domestically abusing her and the children for many years. After committing the murder he was seen down the pub, playing pool, show no remorse whatsoever.
She was described as a beautiful, kind and remarkable lady who touched the lives of everyone she met.
This drawing should be full of colour.
