Another life lost in the “Women’s Lives Cut Short” series.

For every year the person has lived I try to draw their picture for an equivalent minute. But I prioritise the art of ensuring they still look like them, with their soul and their essence present. However, the picture will always be incomplete, as they did not live their whole lives out as they should have.

Rosie was 27 when her life was cut short.

Rosie was murdered by her boyfriend, whom hit her with a crowbar to the head at least 50 times.
She was described as a goofy, talented, wig-wearing, fun loving person.

This drawing should be full of colour, it shouldn't have stopped at 27 minutes. Her life shouldn't have stopped at 27 years due to an abuser.
Rosie Derbyshire, 27
